Located in the heart of downtown Saratoga Springs, 15 Church is ready to stir things up. Following the departure of its previous executive chef, the upscale restaurant has decided to bring in a local talent to lead the establishment into the future.
Since July 5th, Michael Mastrantuono has been running the kitchen at 15 Church, one of the most renowned restaurants in the area. At just 26, Mastrantuono – who the Times Union called “a driven, creative chef” – made FSR magazine’s 40-under-40 “restaurant stars on the rise” list.
Mastrantuono has no shortage of experience under his belt. Most recently, the young chef revitalized Roux in Slingerlands in just 14 months. Other restaurants Mastrantuono has held head chef positions at include MezzaNotte Ristorante in Guilderland, Indulge in Latham, and Milestone in Glenmont.
Menu Changes at 15 Church?
Mastrantuono plans to put a strong emphasis on locally sourced ingredients, leading a daily specials-driven menu depending on which ingredients are freshest that day. The 15 Church menu will remain largely the same, but guests can expect superb specials everyday, the Times Union reports.
Taste Mastrantuono’s art daily at 15 Church! Enjoy the open air patio from 4:30 pm or dine inside starting at 5:00 pm.
